The chiropractic approach is based on a skeletal analysis using x-rays. When there is poor joint positioning (subluxation), the communication between your central nervous system (CNS) and the different parts of your body is impaired, which causes tension and pain. The chiropractor intervenes in order to restore the functions of the nervous system.
The acupuncturist's approach is also to restore good communication of the nervous system and correct interference in the 'electrical system' of your body. The insertion of fine needles (painless) allows the release of natural endorphins from your body which reduces pain. The body also reacts by increasing blood circulation, which relieves the tension built up in the muscles.
